    What is a mobile worker?

A worker with a phone? Then this number starts making sense. The first sentence of the article doesn't really reflect the actual topic covered.

I don't think that productivity at home matches productivity at work, if I owned a company I wouldn't let any employees work from home unless they were willing to take a pay-cut until they could prove their work "output" was equal to what they had been doing previously at work. Its just too easy to be lazy in the place on earth you go to relax every evening.

For the last six years, all my employees have worked from home and from other countries. I didn't cut their pay, in fact, I increased their pay because of the huge savings I was making. I have audio/video contact with all my employees all day long. With the iPad, I saw one of my employees sitting out in the woods doing their editing work and they had less errors while working in the woods than they did while working in the office. It makes good financial sense that if your employee can work from home, let them...you will make more profit.

I should also include that I no longer have the expense of taking care of an office building; I no longer have to provide a day care center for the employees, and I don't have to worry about my employees getting hurt on their way to work or sick from another employee bringing in a cold or flu. My health care has dropped to almost nothing and my utility bills have dropped down to nothing. It doesn't cost much to recharge an iPhone or an iPad, so I give my employees an extra $50 to offset their electric bills. Everyone of my employees said that they couldn't imagine working for anyone else. In the last six years, my turnover has been zero. I will never go back to working at an office building or request my employees to do so.
