Add CommentDr. Sachs, you would do well to understand the importance of time and time dilation in economics, the greater the time dilation the greater the productivity.

No one would deny that the desperate Africans need more fund. But at the same time, no one should deny that African nations are not getting any fund, albeit too little by certain criteria.

Just that the money and aids are not reaching the needy at the grass root level. Somehow, pilfering and corruption run through the whole bureaucracy, making some people (especially the powerful ones) very rich.
It is really sad to notice that a number of the leaders are more interested in fattening their own pockets than attending to the chronic plight of their people. In which case, no matter how much fund or aid is pumped into the nations, it would not benefit the poor who most need help.
To deliver its goals, the UN must make an all out effort to ensure that the fund and aid would be closely monitored by trustworthy officials to reach the right people targeted. Otherwise, all its good initiatives will go down the drain.
So, does Africa really require more funds to deliver UN’s noble goals by 2015? (Tan Boon Tee)
Yes, Africa needs more funds; maybe U.S. will spend less on weapons and wars and more in aid!
