Of course I m talking with my hands when I need to know how to spell the word. It helps me to figure it out while I m talking to myself as I dont see any difference from hearing people who talked to themselves in their own speech. I also caught myself in sleep while I am talking with my hands in my dream after I woke up within a second. ;)

Deaf people need to have their own visual language as well as it s important for all Deaf babies/children's rights.

High five for American Sign Language that is our natural visual languages for those Deaf babies/children. Hearing babies/children can learn, too. As well as I m a Deaf mom of two hearing children . My children 's first language is ASL and are very successful with their honor rolls in their own Education as usual. It helps my children to use their eyes to focus on and use their brains without depending on their hearing ears. It s evidence that ASL is everywhere that people do not realize and did using ASL in their own body language out there.

Thank goodness that we have the rights to use our American Sign Language in our Deaf Education. No one have the right to destroy or keep ASL away from Deaf babies/children from the beginning.
