Every year the Olympus BioScapes International Digital Imaging Competition attracts spectacular entries from professional and amateur microscopists around the world. The January issue of Scientific American contains a selection of images from the 2012 contest. But we couldn't limit ourselves to those.     They are using a micro-mosaic technique, which is creating beautiful images.
