Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisWhile the standard model of particle physics predicts no form of matter that meets the requirements of high mass and undetectability, particles such as WIMPs have been postulated specifically to meet the derived observational requirements of dark matter.
For the past 20 years efforts have been underway to detect such particles, no detection of particles meeting dark matter requirements have been confirmed.
Going back to the original identification of dark matter requirements from the discrepancy between observer's gravitational estimations and observed effects, it should now be seriously considered that earlier mass estimations for large scale aggregations of massive objects, including massive opaque clouds of obscuring gas, from their luminosity using the equipment available 40-80 years ago, could have been simply been in error.
Moreover, it should be considered that the methods of estimation developed for use withing the extremely centralized mass of the Solar system cannot be imposed on highly complex distributed configurations of massive objects.
The imaginary spherical peripheral halo of dark matter applied to observed 'visible matter' is specifically intended to fit the subject configuration of mass to the methods of estimation previously employed, producing the spherically symmetrical distribution of mass required by Newton's Bell theorem and his inverse-square law of Universal Gravitation.
In the meantime science has employed massive quantities of highly educated labor and supercomputer processing time in attempts to virtually confirm beliefs established decades ago but never confirmed by any direct evidence.
That shoes could be made by elves does not prove the existence of elves, no matter how much we want to believe.
Now having been able to watch the video, I have to point out that the peripheral stars in galaxies and the peripheral galaxies in galactic clusters orbit at the high velocities imparted nearer the center of mass because the periphery is self-gravitating: massive objects are locally bound, not just to the center of mass but to each other. It is their local bindings that prevent their expulsion.

DURGADAS DATTA published in ASTRONOMY.NET in year 2002 -- Balloon inside Balloon theory of matter and antimatter universe on opposite entropy path producing GRAVITOETHERTONS at common spherical boundary by annihilation of matter and antimatter and injected into our universe as DARK ENSERGY which we have seen in FERMI LAB recently . This gravitoethertons is our space and DURGADAS DATTA also published --MISJUDGEMENT BY NEWTON --where he compared Newtons gravity with Coulombs law to introduce a factor of permeability in NEWTONS EQUATION SO THAT F=P.G.M.m/R.R where P is permeability of gravitoethertons soup of variable field density causing varying universal constants also. As such DARK MATTER may not exist but DARK ENERGY EXISTS AS GRAVITOETHERTONS SOUP. wE HAVE TO FIND DETAILS OF GRAVITOETHERTONS IN CERN LHC EXPERIMENT SOON TO ESTABLISH THEORIES OF DURGADAS DATTA. THEREFOR OUT SIDE PARALLEL UNIVERSE IS OF ANTIMATTER ON OPPOSITE ENTROPY PATH NOT OF ANY DARK MATTER.
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisI'm just an amateur, but I don't see how this dark energy business is fundamentally different than the unmeasurable ether of Michelson/Morley.....everywhere, can't measure it, but really important......very, very fishy......the conclusions drawn from presumably 13 billion year old light bring to mind the efforts of early anthropoligists...writing millions of years of evolutionary speculation on one bone fragment....I think a lot less math and a lot more experiments would go a long way toward cleaning up a lot of this speculation.....instead, we get more computer models....
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisGood points. Perhaps you can appreciate that, since the most distant objects have been determined to have receded farther away than cosmological models predict, it's concluded that the expansion of the universe must be accelerating.
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisOf course, that also means that light emitted 13 billion years ago indicates that the rate of universal expansion was greater then than it is now.
Interesting paradox, unless it's considered that the most distant objects observed do not represent the contemporaneous spatial periphery of the 'current' universe, but the conditions of the early universe.
Do recent paleontological discoveries indicate that dinosaurs are getting larger?
The theory of Dark Matter is fantastic, but logical: some sort of energy hast to aggregate stars and galaxies, a Cosmic Intelligence which is not visible to us at present.
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisThe only energy attributed to dark matter is gravitational mass. The unidentified invalid estimation of galactic gravitational effects leads astrophysicists to believe that either gravitational theory must be incorrect or gravitation must work differently at large scales (since theory could not have been applied incorrectly) or additional, undetected mass must be present.
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisDark matter is proposed to provide that additional undetected mass necessary produce the observed gravitational effects using the standard methods of gravitational estimation applied to invalid conditions of mass distribution.
It is only additional mass that is supplied by dark matter. In its absence, the 'visible' mass, with the naturally appropriate implementation of its gravitational effects, actually produced the observed aggregation of objects of mass.
To my knowledge, dark matter is not proposed to provide any magical effects other than those of gravitational mass.
The movie is like a movie about the neurons and brain. Is universe intelligent? But,we do not have dark matter in our brain? Instead, we have empty spaces. Does electric activities of universe suggest something different and dark matter?
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thislol @ empty spaces in our brain :) I like that. I like to point out that the DARK in dark matter/energy is meant as unknown, not as buggy-man dark closet. It's just a theory that happens to fit the empirical evidence as we perceive it with our current instruments. I personally believe it is all quite probable and am fully convinced by the mathematical evidence behind it. If a new observations or discoveries are to point out differently, I would be willing to completely discard this theory much like the ether theory was discarded.
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisWell, I have to disagree that they are theories (not just one) that just _happen_ to fit the empirical evidence, although I strongly agree that it is the evidence as we perceive it with our current (as of as long ago as ~1970) instruments.
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisThe dark hypotheses are contrivances very specifically developed to accommodate interpretations of observations that would otherwise conflict with long established theories (the laws of gravitation and the second law of thermodynamics).
In the case of dark matter, the supporting observational evidence that established it within the astrophysical community was very simply that the orbital velocity of stars in galactic disks do not diminish with their distance from the center of mass, unlike planets in the Solar system. That was _it_. It was not considered that 98.8% of the Solar system's mass is located within the central Sun, or that spiral galaxies' mass is widely distributed across distances of more than 100,000 light years or that their central supermassive black holes consistently contain precisely 0.05% of galactic mass.
I'm not sure what 'mathematical evidence' has convinced you of dark matter's existence. There are no direct observations of dark matter or energy, only many observations that seem to conflict with established theory without their presence...
These interpretations are not so easily uprooted within the scientific community, after decades of published papers and careers devoted to their study and confirmation. An astrophysicist who attempts to upset the dark applecart now risks being considered an uncooperative contrarian just as Fritz Zwicky was. He first suggested the possibility of dark matter in the 1930s to explain his observations of galactic cluster dynamics. He also proposed the 'tired light' hypothesis to explain cosmological redshift without spacetime expansion...
Correction: the supermassive black holes at the center of enormous galaxies consistently contain 0.5% of total galactic mass, compared to the Solar system in which 98.8% of total system mass is contained within the Sun - actually within the _center_ of the Sun.

This is my second script that I wrote for my next you tube video. The first you tube is called “Dark Matter And The Expansion Of Our Universe”.
In that video, I proposed that Dark Matter is the byproduct of the matter that falls into Black Holes by what I called the “Black Hole Process“. As matter accelerates down the Black Hole its electrons are stripped and is converted to plasma. This plasma is accelerated to almost the speed of light and hits the black hole, and that is what dark matter is, the remnants of that collision. I called the place were Dark Matter exists “The Dark Matter Universe, and it’s filling up like a balloon with Dark Matter, and because our universe sits on top of the Dark Matter Universe as it expands it’s causing our universe to expand. (see demo on my you tube video)
As to the expansion theory leading to the cold death of our universe, even if our universe expands into coldness, the Black Hole Process would continue to consume what ever matter was available and send it into the Dark Matter Universe. And the Big Bang was the result of the Dark Matter being released back into our universe, and it’s very possible that the universe that we are in now is just another in a continuous cycle of
multiple universes after each Big Bang. The ultimate form of recycling.
In my new video called, “Black Holes = Dark Matter = Big Bang” I am going to try to clarify why I think my theory may be correct, and comparing the CERN Large Hadron Collider to Black Holes. See You Tube “CERN”
A black hole works on the same principle as the CERN particle accelerator, or I should say, the CERN particle accelerator works on the same principle as black holes.
The CERN uses powerful electromagnets and lasers to accelerate plasma (mass) to almost the speed of light. Black holes use gravity to accelerate plasma (mass) up to the speed of light, and black holes produce tremendously powerful electromagnet fields except black holes do it naturally.
In the CERN this packet of accelerated mass collides with another packet of accelerated mass and fragments into its basic fundamental elements, such as: Bosons, Quarks, Tachyons, Neutrinos, and in all of their manifestations and flavors, but what about black holes?
I am proposing that the accelerated super dense mass would shatter into the same elemental particles that the CERN produces after passing into a black hole, and that is what dark matter is. This would explain where the matter from the big bang came from. It was normal matter converted to its elemental particle forms by black holes by what I called the black hole process, and recombined back into normal matter as we know it in our universe after the big bang.
In my first video I said that the dark matter universe would be “A hot boiling two hundred million degree hell, and what was the temperature of the big bang?” I had to rethink that statement, because the average ambient temperature of space is three degrees above absolute zero. -459 degrees Fahrenheit, and -273 degrees Celsius. During the processing of matter to dark matter, waste heat, energy and radiation is blown back into space creating the jets of energy coming from some black holes. Dark matter’s temperature has to be absolute zero or close to it, like the Bose-Einstein Condensate and it blends into the background of space, and all we perceive of it is it’s mass and gradational effect.
A spinning black hole could act as a centrifuge that separates the
different elemental particles from each other after this mass traveling at
almost the speed of light collides with the black hole which is spinning at
the speed of light. Unlike the CERN that just collides and scatters the
elemental particles. Black holes may process the deferent elemental forms
separating them from each other and spinning them in to strings of like
elemental particles, forms and flavors, and these elemental strings could
be in direct contact with other like elemental strings being spun by other
black holes through out our universe. A cotton candy machine would be a
good example of how a spinning black hole works. The cotton candy
machine spins liquid sugar by centrifugal force and forces the liquid
through tiny holes . When the sugar passes through the tiny holes it is
shaped and cooled and becomes a solid again
as spun threads of sugar. A black hole could produce strings of like
particles not unlike a cotton candy machine.
If the dark matter universe’s temperature was absolute zero then the dark matter universe would be a Bose-Einstein Condensate and would have all of the properties of a Super Atom that Daniel Kleppner MIT Physics Dept, talks about See, “The Bose-Einstein Condensate.” Nova: Absolute Zero on You Tube PBS Jan/8/08. This one hour forty minute long video is about the history of the study of coldness and experiments. If you want to skip the history go to the lecture Mr. Kleppner is giving, start
at one hour twelve minutes for the introduction, but I recommend watching the entire video.------------------
Also if you look on You Tube, the video: “Hawking Radiation explained by Himself“, June 10th 2008. The Jets of energy that we see coming out of black holes is Hawking Radiation which is part of the black hole process.
We use lasers and magnet fields to cool atoms to almost absolute zero in laboratories. Radiation Blowing out into space at the speed of light could cause the cooling down effect in the area of the black hole to that of absolute zero. The spinning black hole is rotating at the speed of light Once the accelerated mass hits, it could be processed into dark matter and dark energy, also strings of like partials. Some light some heavy, and most likely the Higgs Field. See You tube video, “The Higgs Boson and Mass”. It’s stating that the Higgs Boson Particle was present right after the big bang and it slowed the other particles down to create the mass in our universe. See “CMS- the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment at CERN”, February 23, 2010. Is looking to create the Big Bang and capture it on a recording device.
The CERN smashes two packets of matter together at almost the speed
of light, but that may not be enough force to separate the Higgs boson
from it’s elemental particles, but a black hole spinning at the speed of light
May be able to, due to the forces of smashing and sheering of the
accelerated matter and would be able to rip the elemental particles apart
more efficiently.
My point is the matter in our universe had to come from some where. Matter cannot be created nor destroyed, only changed from one form to another, and I am saying that black holes process the mass that falls into it to make dark matter, and the Dark Matter Universe could a Bose-Einstein Condensate, and during the Big Bang was released into the universe as we now know it, and the possibility that the universe that we are in now could be just another in a continuous cycle of multiple universes after each Big Bang. As I said before the ultimate in recycling. Here is another thought for you. When the universe expands so far that the only galaxy you can see is your own, then, that’s then your galaxy will start to cool off. I think that because, their can only be so much star formation and new material for star formation. Eventually it will all be sucked into a black holes. As it cools the galaxy would contract towards the center, And as it contracts, more and more mass would be pushed into black holes, and all life would be extinguished. Eventually all of that mass would meet at the super massive black hole at the center of that galaxy. Then what? A quasar? As I said, the ultimate in recycling.

DURGADAS DATTA talked about gravitoetherton soup as space or dark energy which is variable field density . As such our universe is non uniform. Einstein and Newton --both were wrong in assuming a uniform universe and postulates of Einstein as well as Newtons non varying gravitational constant ideas are wrong. Newtons gravity equation should be F=P.G.M.m/R.R where P is factor of permeability as we have seen in Coulombs law. So with revised theories DARK ENERGY IS DARK MATTER . We have seen dark energy in casimir effect or gravity is nothing but push effect of dark energy in mono magnetic molecular effect irrespective of molecular mass which is why Galileo observed equal fall or Avogadro observed equal number of gas molecules under same condition , Mendeleefs table , etc etc The point is 1/R.R MAGIC FACTOR FROM BOHRS MODEL OR SUNS PLANETARY ORBITS. durgadas datta explained in his papers in astronomy.net in year 2002/2003 --MISJUDGEMENTS BY NEWTON ...OR..BALLOON INSIDE BALLOON ..OR ETHER=GRAVITY=DARK ENERGY THEORY ETC ETC ....FOR LINKS SEE --durgadas datta face book--
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisAccording to the new theory of DURGADAS DATTA published IN 2003--namely--BALLOON INSIDE BALLOON THEORY OF GRAVITOETHERTONS.-- it is evident that as predicted in the theory --gravitoetherton packet consist of FIVE GOD PARTICLES. FOUR FOR FOUR FORCES AND ONE FOR MASS CREATION. We sill soon find the evidence in LHC-GENEVA. The standard model require these five messenger particles not HIGGS BOSON alone but it appears quantum physics gone wrong in assumption of quarks. The confusion of DARK MATTER is now understood after revising NEWTONS GRAVITY EQUATION as F=P.G.M.m/R.R WHERE -R- is permeability. But dark energy is not cosmology constant of EINSTEIN but it is variable vacuum energy of gravitoethertons soup. Now as NEWTON and EINSTEIN modified due to our universe as non uniform gravitoethertons soup we will expect all laws and constants are widely varying in distant space.
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisUsing only the logical deduction and how much we already know, We are looking for a possible answer to these questions: the almost total absence of antimatter in our universe, the acceleration of the universe, the 11 dimension from string theory.
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisSuppose that the anti-matter and the Charge Parity Time symmetry CPT, still by check at CERN, is sufficiently mirrors to the matter, with negative time compared with our, anti-gravity that cause repulsion between antimatter stars and a star made of matter but of course has the same effect of our gravity and keep the planets in orbit around itself if these are in turn is composed of antimatter.
As a consequence of Einstein relativity the time and the speed of light are closely related.
Gravitational waves have never been verified for the simple fact that gravity propagates instantaneously, anywhere, has no limit on the speed of light, and is indifferent to the time otherwise the gravity of black hole could not modify the timespace.
Think of the central areas of the gap between groups of galaxies in our universe, if they were occupied by clusters of galaxies of antimatter invisible, their antigravity reject our galaxy and causing the acceleration of the universe but also the acceleration of antimatter universe (dark energy).
Let's go back to relativity, any object that travels at the speed of light or the temperature of absolute zero degrees, has no time, this is the only type of antimatter that we can see made by black holes in our universe or in the laboratory experiments.
Why do not we see the galaxies of antimatter? Why after the big bang, the matter is separated from antimatter with repulsion gravity/antigravity and because of its negative time, the light emitted from antimatter, for us is not visible (dark matter). From big.bang onwards, our universe travels forward in time, the universe of antimatter travels back in his time, for us, in the reverse time before the big bang. Conversely, if we were made of antimatter, nothing would change only the point of view.
Think of three possible states of matter: matter, antimatter and black holes.
The light of a black hole can not get out, if the light is related to time, in a black hole there is no time and inside a black hole, matter is no different from a black hole of anti-matter, outside differ for their gravity or antigravity.
Were observed gravitational lenses convex caused by super massive black holes, if the universe is actually accelerating in its expansion, should also be anti-gravity concave lens.

Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisWe come to the string theory with its 11 dimensions: 4 dimensions for the matter, 4 for antimatter, three for black holes, these blacks confined inside the black holes.
You could use a simulator to test the acceleration of the universe, keep the same amount of galaxies, blacks holes, cosmic dust and gas like our universe in the model of antimatter universe, but with galaxy cluster of antimatter arranged in the empty space in our universe, therefore with the same force antigravity but the opposite of gravity.
Or just wait for other options from CERN in Geneva.
We have to think beyond Einstein and Newton to understand a dynamic non uniform parallel universe in a balloon inside balloon concept. So we should apply ideas if Einstein very carefully. DURGADAS DATTA explained that time is purely entropic and totally separate from space and space-time continuum concept of Einstein is wrong. THEORY OF EVERYTHING can not be deduced as laws and constants are widely varying due to non uniformity of gravitoethertons soup. All these ideas of DURGADAS DATTA should be kept in mind. We have succeeded in trapping antimatter and if we can use matter and antimatter collision in LHC-GENEVA then we may see the five GOD PARTICLES as predicted by DURGADAS DATTA.

Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisFar out as the theories are they can't keep up with the new observations. Instead of solving cosmic problems new instruments just add to their number. The idea that mathematics can develop new solutions is not valid. What is really needed is a new philosophy of the universe, its creation, its prime mover, and finally its end. Such a philosophy is "The Dynamic Ether" which is based on the supposition:- "The universe is a disturbed field of pure energy seeking equilibrium"
Reply | Report Abuse | Link to thisSurprisingly it seems to answer most of the cosmic problems as it pursues a logical case by case analysis.
DYNAMIC ETHER THEORY. Long ago DURGADAS DATTA published balloon inside balloon theory of matter and antimatter universe on OPPOSITE ENTROPY path producing dark energy at common boundary by annihilation and injected into both the universes. So universe is dynamic dark energy soup --non isotropic field density ,swirling and whirling as water around a pole in river taking longs to whirl and dark energy soup takes stars and planets etc for orbits. We can not apply Newton and modified Navier-Stokes is an option. But MOND equation F=P.G.M.m./R.R where P IS PERMEABILITY CAN BE APPLIED. Due to OPPOSITE ENTROPY many predictions--at tends zero entropy of anti matter universe a BIG BOUNCE when matter universe is tends to zero kelvin and at three kelvin a CMB MAP which PLANCK FOUND having many circles for bounce and dark pull of antimatter universe and some non isotropy in temp. Also the exponential inflation of Dr.Guth in fraction of second before CMB DUE TO HUGE INSTABILITY IN EQUILIBRIUM AND HIDDEN ENERGY OF BOUNCE. Solar storms also can tell some effects of gravitoetherton or dark energy soup. Another prediction is dark energy consist of graviton and anti graviton for gravity and expansion which CERN confirmed in two HIGGS BOSONS they found . Quantum gravity theory is a mono magnetic coupling push of gravitons and not pull of NEWTON. Strong and weak force does not exist in modified atomic model of DURGADAS DATTA and gravity is a kind of electro magnetic induction. Revision of BOHR , Maxwell MAY BE NECESSARY TO EXPLAIN A NEW PHYSICS AFTER CERN GIVE THEIR VERDICT FINALLY.
