Add CommentIt really annoys me to see women with wrinkled skin suddenly turned into fair-faced teenagers every time I check my Yahoo email! I LIKE my wrinkles- they're distinctive and a mark of survival, if not wisdom. I have vowed NEVER to purchase anything I see advertised on Yahoo mail, and told them so. Do you think they care?

My advice is to always use solid privacy protection software like hotblack mentioned. Spam is annoying, but you can block yourself from cookies and related tracking if desired rather easily. It should be common sense though that if you post something publicly, in a forum, in MySpace or on Facebook it's considered public record. Business Intelligence/Data Miners will continue to grab that info and use it/sell it forever.
