   Profit is good, it is a reward for providing a product people want at a price they are willing to pay.
   
   Mindless pursuit of MORE is bad, not more profit per se but more volume of gross income in hopes that will result in a little more profit.
   
   Cable companies appear to be obsessed with the pursuit of more revenue even if it means superfluous power consumption.
