"Jeffrey D. Sachs is a great man, doing great things for people around the world," began a note from Trey Strawn of Winter Springs, Fla. "His battle against poverty is inspiring. 'Welfare States, beyond Ideology' [Sustainable Developments], however, is unscientific, biased and wrong."
