    I'm not really sure why some people are so rabide about making hobbits into modern homo sapians. Somebody had to be the last humans around who weren't members of our species and it looks like it was them. It wouldn't bother me as much if the people doing the screaming didn't seem to be going quite so far out on a limb to explain why hobbits were sapiens which of course explains why I don't believe them.
