Consider making a donation or otherwise becoming involved with Borneo Orangutan Survival International, an umbrella organization for affiliated national groups that raise funds and otherwise support BOS programs in Indonesia. In the U.S., the BOS affiliate is Orangutan Outreach; links to all the member groups and additional information about the supported projects are available through the BOS Web site. You might also consider donating to the World Wildlife Fund, which has also been instrumental in protecting orangutans.
