Add CommentFrom my experience, inflammation from car accidents started in my 20's and I grew fat, I thought, from lack of heavy exercise that exacerbated pain. Drs. look at me and assume fat caused the inflammation, but in reading this, I wonder if inflammation isn't a cause, not an effect, of fat.

I have learned (on my own...no help form my doctor) that this is a complex disease and that I must learn about glycemic index, glycemic load and insulin index; that the insuling receptors on my slow twitch muscle fibers will become insulin resistant if I do not exercise within a 48 hour period (a genetic anomly that runs in families).
