    Supporting evidence. The book, Genetic Roulette: The Documented Health Risks of Genetically Engineered Foods by Jeffrey Smith . the foremost educator on a huge range of GMO studies done, shows 57 food risks from GMO technology. GMO health and safety tests have never been designed to test at risk groups--particularly pregnant mothers, babies and children---the future of our humanity. This has huge unintended consequences.

    Just Posted in the last day in the Latin American Herald Tribune April 22, 2009 "BUENOS AIRES  "The herbicide used on genetically modified soy  Argentinas main crop  could cause brain, intestinal and heart defects in fetuses, according to the results of a scientific investigation released Monday." http://www.laht.com/article.asp?ArticleId=331718&CategoryId=14093

    Recently a national outrage occurring over rBGH in milk (mostly consumed by babies and young children) perpetuated industry removal of this unnecessary and even dangerous GMO ingredient in milk after negative health effects were published regarding this. (http://www.centerforfoodsafety.org) Soya in Enfamil and nonorganic breakfast foods contain GMOs.

    We must be willing to look deeper into genetic manipulation and the stability of the technology itself, despite industry claims of safety and productivity. We must reassess what food security really means and its long term effects and put in protections. The Dangers From Consumption of Foods Containing Transplanted DNA by Hugh S. Lehman, Ph.D. email: hughslehman@hotmail.com or on website: http://www.saynotogmos.org/ud2006/uapr06.php gives supporting evidence for this.

    Further, Arpad Pustztai has recently acknowledged some possible new connections between the health and societal disfunction risk factor link in children with autism and GMOs, and GMOs and the lack of ability to possibly process vaccines.     Some studies say 1 in 150 some say 1 in 165 children in the US are diagnosed with autism! -- at epidemic proportions in this country. This has been escalating exponentially since GMOs hit the scene-- along with major increases in pesticides, chemicals as well as mercury in vaccines. http://www.voiceoftheenvironment.org/heavymetal/article.php?id=865.

    Some of the website blogs show at risk autistic children respond favorably to the elimination of exposure to both chemicals and exposure to GMO foods and GMO influences in the environment. A major study showed that such Special diets surpass drugs in Autism Treatment Success http://www.autismtoday.com/articles/Special%20diets.asp . and Julie Mathews reknown dietician researcher at: http://ezinearticles.com/?Quality-Food-is-Key-to-Autism-Diets&id=2102055 who has seen good success in recommending eliminating exposure to GMO foods.
