Peering more than 100 million light-years across the universe, the Hubble Space Telescope caught three galaxies interacting, which is an astronomer's euphemism for a gravitational struggle of colossal proportions. The three galaxies—NGC 7173 [left], NGC 7174 [center right] and NGC 7176 [lower right]—are locked in a battle for supremacy that may result in NGC 7174 being torn to shreds. The three galaxies may also someday merge into a single massive entity.
