Postdoc position in systems biology of cellular reprogramming at UCSD

An ideal candidate should obtain Ph.D. in cellular biology, molecular biology, genetics or related fields, is highly motivated and has extensive experience with cell biology techniques of manipulating human embryonic stem (hES) cells, such as culturing hES cells, gene knockdown (RNAi) and overexpression, qPCR, western in hES cells. Expertise in next generation sequencing is a plus.
The postdoc will be responsible for conducting experiments of cellular reprogramming. There will be a close collaboration with computational biologists in the group to integrate experimental and computational analyses for understanding the mechanisms of reprogramming cell fate and developing systems biology technologies to achieve specific reprogramming task.
