Responsibilities: -Improve and support cutting-edge pipelines for the variant calling, annotation and association analysis of NGS data -Manage bioinformatics projects from clients and provide technical solutions, including development of scripts and software applications for analysis of NGS data -Work with the development team to implement system changes and internally validate system changes -Conduct applicable literature search for both research efforts and technical projects -Manuscript preparation Minimum Requirements: -Previous experience with analyzing large-scale NGS data for human genomes/exomes -Previous experience with relevant sequencing analysis tools, such as BWA, GATK, SAMtools, ANNOVAR or related -Experience working with genetic variant databases -Proficiency in at least one of following programming languages: perl, python, C, C++ or Java -Solid knowledge of unix/linux. Experience with cluster computing a plus -A PhD or MS in bioinformatics, biostatistics, computational biology, human genetics, genomics, computer science, mathematics or related -Outstanding team player -Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: -Strong peer-reviewed publication record -Postdoctoral experience if PhD -5 years relevant experience if MS -Experience in cancer data analysis -Experience with statistical analysis using R or SAS Compensation: -Commensurate with experience.
