Our client has recently merged its highly successful Life Science Mass Spectrometry and Automation Solutions programs, in order to effectively manage the customer workflow for their Pharmaceutical, Academic and Clinical Clients.
We are now seeking an enthusiastic, people-oriented Product Specialist to drive this combined program in Belgium.
In this role you will work with local and European Sales and Marketing Management, the European and US Applications group and the local direct sales team responsible for our client's wider product portfolio to drive and grow the business for both product lines.
Main responsibilities include: Driving and developing the Mass Spectrometry and Automation business in Belgium through the sales process from identifying leads to closing orders Meeting and exceeding financial objectives as established on a 6-monthly basis Working closely with the local sales team through training sessions and joint client visits to maximize their understanding of, and ability to position these products and workflow solutions in the Life Science Market Provision of presentations to individuals and large groups on both Mass Spectrometry and Automation offerings at customer sites, conferences and marketing events. Consulting with clients on technical and workflow needs and requirements and developing capability to create and propose solutions specific to these workflows. Working with the EMEA Applications team to provide product and software demonstrations across the portfolio. Manage short to long term sales funnel and develop and deploy suitable marketing and sales activities to ensure a healthy funnel is maintained. Conducting regular funnel reviews with sales team and management for Mass Spectrometry and Automation products and provision of monthly forecast to management Support successful implementation of units sold, and instrument placements to ensure customer satisfaction with Agilent products and solutions The position will report into the EMEAI Life Science Program Manager for Mass Spectrometry, Automation and Academia
Qualifications Masters or University Degree in Chemistry or Life Science discipline plus a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, with 3 to 6 years practical experience. Motivated Self-starter with drive, energy and enthusiasm to succeed in this exciting and challenging role Hands-on experience in Mass Spectrometry experience in Automation is seen as a merit Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills Fluent in English and French Willingness to travel within Belgium and occasionally further afield * Experience in a Sales Environment preferred.
