Highly motivated individual sought for a postdoctoral research fellowship position in the Ellinor & Lubitz labs at Massachusetts General Hospital Cardiovascular Research Center. The position will be focused on studying the epidemiology and genetic basis of cardiac arrhythmias. The candidate will utilize large-scale epidemiologic, genetic and sequence datasets. The goals may also include addressing clinical risk stratification, utility of applying discovered risk factors in practice, and extending existing collaborations between the Massachusetts General Hospital, the Framingham Heart Study, the Broad Institute, and an international consortium. Ideal candidates will have a PhD experience in epidemiology, biostatistics, and statistical genetics. Programming experience with one or more of the following is preferable: R, SAS, PLINK. Applicants should be able to qualify for support from an NIH T32 post-doctoral fellowship training program, but highly qualified applicants that are ineligible for training grant funding will also be considered.
