A postdoctoral position is available in the area of epigenetic gene regulation and cancer biology. Dr. Lauberth's laboratory which is located at the University of California, San Diego, implements a combination of biochemical, molecular, genetic, and genomic/proteomic approaches to investigate the role of epigenetic alterations in the onset of and development of human cancer. The overall goal of our research is to identify the epigenetic mechanisms that precisely contribute to the dynamics of mutant p53 target gene regulation, and will ultimately advance the potential for target based screening approaches and the development of therapeutic targeting strategies.
