Measure both real-time BLI and solution equilibrium affinity of antibodies to their antigen Determine epitopic coverage of selected antibodies using competition assays Carry out antibody thermostability assays using differential scanning fluorimetry (DSF) Use nanoparticles to assess antibody self-association Utilize chromatographic techniques such as analytical size exclusion chromatography using HPLC, hydrophobic interaction chromatography, and cross-interaction chromatography Execute established assays and develop new assays to predict antibody developability Perform mass identification of antibodies and antigens by LC-MS Carry out DLS techniques for antigen and antibody characterization Perform antigen QC to ensure a successful antibody selection campaign using SEC, stability tests, and related biophysical characterizations Characterize the delivery set of antibodies for the customer with techniques including DSF, ForteBio binding, binning, LC-MS, etc.
Ph.D. with a minimum of 5 years in an industrial biopharmaceutical or biotechnology setting Strong biochemistry background with a depth of technical knowledge in kinetics, as demonstrated by publications Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in independently designing and implementing kinetic assays (SPR, solution phase affinity measurements, etc.) Technical proficiency in SPR or BLI affinity measurements and ELISAs Applied knowledge of data fitting of kinetics (Prism, KaleidaGraph, Origin, etc.) Proven track record of clear and open communication with direct reports, peers, and supervisors Adaptable and productive in a fast-paced environment Supervisory experience preferred
