As part of the Process Design and Optimisation team, this position will have responsibility for the development and technical transfer of purification process for antibodies and other proteins for use in early stage clinical trials.

Role Responsibilities

Routine bench scale protein purification (affinity, ion exchange, mixed mode) to support process development activities. Protein purification process development and optimisation. Protein analysis - using standard methods including HPLC, SDS PAGE, Spectrophotometer and data management. Maintaining a current and accurate laboratory record (lab notebook) of all activities Report writing/presentations to team, department, company and externally. General laboratory activities including preparation of buffer and routine maintenance of equipment.

Your previous experience will demonstrate knowledge and practical experience in:

Development of purification processes for antibodies and complex proteins. Technical transfer from development to manufacturing, ideally in a commercial environment. Application of the principles of chromatography and other techniques associated with protein purification, as well as experience in associated analytics. Protein chemistry.

Ideally you will also have knowledge and experience of:

Working in cross functional project teams, submission of regulatory filings. Experience in the field of purification process development, scale up and technical transfer for clinical and commercial stage processes. * Knowledge of protein structural biochemistry.

Education

* PhD or BSc/MSc with relevant research commercial experience.
