FACULTY POSITION IN CELL BIOLOGY
JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
Applicants are invited to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of Cell Biology.
The Department of Cell Biology is one of nine departments in the Institute for Basic Biomedical Sciences (IBBS) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Cell Biology faculty participate in the umbrella Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology Graduate Program, one of the oldest multidisciplinary graduate programs in the country. Faculty are also members of different centers within IBBS that draw from different departments to bring together individuals with shared research interests. For this position, we seek outstanding individuals who are addressing fundamental questions in cell biology or development, using genetic, molecular, biochemical, cellular and/or integrative systems approaches. Candidates should have a PhD and/or MD, postdoctoral experience, and a strong publication record. The successful candidate is expected to develop an independent, exciting research program and to display a commitment to excellence in teaching by participating in graduate and medical student teaching.
