Ochsner Health System in New Orleans is seeking a BC/BE NEONATOLOGIST to join our expanding section of five physicians. Recent graduates and experienced neonatologists are invited to consider joining our division working alongside a team of experienced neonatal nurse practitioners. We currently practice in a 42 bed Level III-C NICU with plans underway to move into a newly renovated women and infants' center in early 2013. Annual deliveries are estimated to be 3,000-4,000, and high risk maternal patients are cared for by a growing maternal-fetal medicine staff. We are also supported by an established ground and air neonatal transport system. All modes of respiratory support including HFJV and HFOV are employed in addition to the use of inhaled nitric oxide. We are backed up by one of the longest standing ECMO programs in the country. Total body cooling is available for qualified infants. Our team participates in the Vermont Oxford Network and has continuous performance improvement initiatives underway. A full spectrum of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty support is always available. Salary will be commensurate with experience and training. We offer an excellent comprehensive benefits package.
