BC:68348 The Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia - IIT (www.iit.it) - is going to start a Long Term Research Program about graphene in the frame of the European FET-Flagship Grant "Graphene". Applications for a senior researcher position are opened in the field of: "physics and technology of graphene". A Ph.D. in Physics and at least 10 years of research experience will be required at the time of application. Proficiency in written/spoken English is mandatory. We are looking for outstanding, proactive and highly motivated candidates and we value free academic spirit, novel ideas at the edge of science and technology, teamwork and cooperation over various disciplines, skills in tutoring, leading a research team, seeking and fostering scientific collaboration. Candidates should have a strong interdisciplinary background, an established track record of independent research, publications, and solid experience of tutoring undergraduate and graduate students. Moreover, the ideal candidate should demonstrate a significant track record of participation and managing of international projects and national and international research collaborations. The selected candidate will develop and drive a research program at the forefront of the discipline and connected to the European Graphene Flagship Project. In particular the program should focus on the study of graphene-based two-dimensional systems and their applications in the field of hydrogen/energy storage and optoelectronics. He/she will establish and coordinate a team of physicists/material scientists/chemists working on graphene and will take part in scientific and technological projects with international academic and industrial partners.
