Funding available to develop networks of shared resources to reduce animal use in science

Infrastructure for Impact scheme: Call for UK-based applications

The NC3Rs funds and drives innovation and technological developments that replace or reduce the need for animals in research and testing, and lead to improvements in welfare where animals continue to be used.

The new Infrastructure for Impact scheme is designed to support non-research proposals which could have a significant impact on the 3Rs (replacement, reduction and refinement of animals in research), including:

Resource sharing Data sharing Establishing networks * Multi-user equipment

Pioneering Better Science

We are now inviting full applications for proposals up to a maximum of £500k. Applications which are cross-departmental or cross-institutional are particularly encouraged.

*Shared resources could include tissue banks, databases and networks to distribute animals.
