The area around the earthquake's epicenter near Mineral, Va.--between Richmond and Charlottesville--was not calculated to be at high risk for a temblor. The U.S. Geological Survey estimated the chances of one larger than a 5.7 striking that area within 100 years at about 20 percent.....[ More ]
