Israeli Device Takes the Thirst Out of War Zones

An Israeli start up has developed a portable device that generates large amounts of water from desert air. The company says the system will offer troops in conflict zones a cheap and safe way to stay hydrated. Rinat Harash reports.

    Such a device as this uses energy to condense the water. So what is the equivalent quantity of gasolene needed here to produce a liter of drinking water? Can solar energy be substituted?
