A project is on foot, and is meeting with encouragement, for the extension of the North Danvers Railroad into Haverhill—$10,000 worth of stock now remains to be taken up. We see it stated in the " Ohio State Journal," that there is a movement on foot foi holding a National Railroad Convention somewhere in the Great West, at a time to be named hereafter, to bring the people of the . East, West, North and South together, for the purpose of consultation and the acquisition o] necessary intelligence relating to the inte-rests of the country. In the English mining districts the coUieri are agitating for a rise of wages.
