Last year Harold “Skip” Garner, author of “The Case of the Stolen Words” (from the March 2014 Scientific American), spoke on a panel with SA Editor in Chief Mariette DiChristina about plagiarism and other varieties of scientific misbehavior. The New York Academy of Sciences organized the event, which was called “Envy: The Cutthroat Side of Science.” Radiologist and author Morton Meyers and journalist Ivan Oransky also participated as panelists.
