Chronic sinusitis—technically called chronic rhinosinusitis—is a disease of the nose and other regions of the upper airway that affects about 35 million Americans. They struggle to breathe, and the pressure in their sinuses sends terrible pain streaking around their heads. And it happens again and again and again, because the causes are repeated bacterial infections.
