A Suriname horned frog photographed at the Bronx Zoo’s World of Reptiles. This South American species is also known as a Pac-Man frog due to its large mouth, which is 1.6 times wider than the length of its body. Mostly nocturnal, it lives among the leaf litter in the Amazon Basin rainforest and is an avid feeder, employing a sit-and-wait ambush on its prey.
