AbbVie is seeking a Biologist to conduct scientific research in the area of Biologics drug discovery. We have an amazing opportunity in Worcester, MA for an Associate Scientist II reporting to a Senior Scientist in Biologics Drug Discovery. Key Responsibilities Include: Independently generate precise, reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Demonstrate experimental precision and strong data interpretation skills. Should possess understanding of cellular biology, general cell culture and in vitro assay techniques. Perform routine tasks competently and independently, generating reliable and consistent results. Analyze and critique results, noting significant deviations. Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation. Learn and understand new experimental techniques. Demonstrate skill in multiple experimental techniques and appropriately modify protocols, as required, to suit the changing needs of research. Place data in proper scientific context by consulting and citing relevant literature. Demonstrate technical proficiency in cell culture and in vitro assay techniques. Impact projects predominantly through lab based activities. Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials and GxP compliance. Keep accurate and current records of experiments and/or research according to AbbVie policies. Optimize procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency. Work with direction from a more senior scientific leader. Present data clearly and thoroughly in both one-on-one and group meetings with clear and precise graphs/charts/tables. Provide written summary reports as appropriate.

Basic: BS in Biology & 3+ year experience inBiological Science or MS in Biological Science Experience in cell culture, sterile techniqueand in vitro assays required Good organizational, time management and presentation skills required Fluency in oral and written technical English required.

Preferred: Knowledge of ELISA, MSD, cellular proliferation assays , FACS assays and phosphorylation assays preferred Experience maintaining multiple and diverse celllines including engineered and primary cells Experience recording and analyzing data using Bioeln,Graphpad Prism, Excel, MSD Workbench and Softmax Pro preferred Experience working in a team environment toachieve goals and timelines
