This article seem to imply,in several places, that the best method the federal government could come up with during the Bush reign to lower consumption of fossil fuels and prolong their use was: 'The more people you keep impoverished, the longer you can prolong the use of coal, oil, nuclear and natural gas and lower their emissions by a tenth of a percent or so and make the people believe we are ahead of the rest of the world in clean energy consumption.' That would explain why Bush allowed the price at the gas pumps to jump from $1.38 a gallon to $4.15 a gallon and everything else followed that 300% increase - plunging this country into one of the worst recessions ever in its history. If people cannot afford to use their vehicles - that leaves more clean air for us, and if people cannot afford to buy food - that leaves more for us, so keep all those little people as deep into poverty as you can and that will leave more of everything for us. That administration was evil - just plain evil.

He did however, manage to do a few good things so it just shows that even the most evil are not completely corrupt.
