Abigail C. Saguy and Juliet A. Williams are professors of sociology and of gender studies, respectively, at the University of California, Los Angeles. They are writing a book about use of the concept of gender neutrality in the law, news media and political activism. Robin Dembroff and Daniel Wodak are assistant professors of philosophy at Yale University and Virginia Tech/University of Pennsylvania, respectively. They have written popular and academic articles about gender-neutral language, and currently are collaborating with Andrei Cimpian (N.Y.U.) to research the nature, strength and basis for popular attitudes about gender neutral pronouns.
