Emily Cramer is a graduate student at Cornell University in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. She earned a B.A. in Biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland and plans to defend her doctoral dissertation (about how sexual selection affects songs and sperm cells in birds) in June 2012. When not furiously working on her dissertation, Emily likes to play with dogs, cook for friends, and knit sweaters – the more complicated, the better.
