Ethan Schreier retired as president of Associated Universities, Inc. in 2017, after 15 years there. He had worked closely with Riccardo Giacconi at several institutions for much of his career, including 20 years at the Space Telescope Science Institute. His research interests included binary X-ray sources, active galaxies and jets.
