Gans is clinical professor of pediatrics and pediatric infectious diseases at Stanford University School of Medicine and co-director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Program for Immunocompromised Hosts at Stanford Children's Health. Her work is focused on the immune response to infections and vaccines in pediatric populations. She holds an M.D. from State University of New York Upstate Medical University.
