Heather Schofield is an economist at Cornell University studying development, health and behavioral economics. Her research is focused on how different elements of economic and social disadvantage may impede productivity and the accumulation of human capital, as well as how poverty may interact with mental health. She co-founded the Behavioral Development Lab in Chennai, India, where much of her research is based. Schofield completed her Ph.D. in business economics, M.S. in global health and population and B.A. in economics at Harvard University.
