Though Jeremy is a chemical engineering professor, he never thought he would be. He grew up studying Latin and Greek, and did not take his first chemistry class until high school. Chemistry was the first subject that he truly enjoyed. In college, he studied chemical engineering and was amazed by the potential that the discipline had to address energy and sustainability challenges. Because of this, he made it his career. Outside of work, he enjoys running and fencing.
