Joseph L Graves Jr, Ph.D., is an evolutionary biologist who studies the genomics of adaptation as well as biological and social conceptions of race. He is a professor of biological sciences at North Carolina A&T State University and the author of four books, including, with Alan H. Goodman, Racism, Not Race: Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (Columbia University Press, 2021).
