Kelsey Johnson, PhD, is a professor of astronomy at the University of Virginia and director of the Dark Skies, Bright Kids program. She is on the board of the American Astronomical Society, and president of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific. Johnson is a 2018 Public Voices Fellow with The OpEd Project.
