Lisa Becking is a marine biologist with the Naturalis Biodiversity Center and the Institute for Marine Resources and Ecosystem Studies (IMARES), both in the Netherlands. For her doctoral research at Naturalis she has visited Indonesia multiple times to study hidden marine lakes. Presently she is in the organisation of the Kinabalu / Crocker Range Expedition and is coordinating the DNA sampling.
