Mary Ellen Mastrorilli is an assistant professor of criminal justice and associate chair of applied social sciences at Boston University. She earned her bachelor's in sociology, her master's in public administration, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Law and Public Policy, all within Boston city limits.
With 24 years of experience in correctional rehabilitation and human behavior, Dr. Mastrorilli's expertise has earned her the Professional Excellence Award from the Correctional Association of Massachusetts and the Breaking the Glass Ceiling Award from the National Center for Women and Policing--an award that recognizes notable female leaders in the criminal justice field. Today, BU students benefit from Dr. Mastrorilli's extensive knowledge through her criminal justice and sociology courses.
