
How Can We Increase Trust in Vaccines?
A look at India’s experience could provide an answer
Naveen Thacker is the Director of Deep Children's Hospital and Research Centre in Gandhidham, in the Indian state of Gujarat. He is a member of the India Expert Advisory Group on Polio and the International Scientific Advisory Board of Voices for Vaccines, and has served on the Gavi Civil Society Organization (CSO) Steering Committee since 2010. Dr. Thacker has expertise in child survival, immunization, vaccinology and polio eradication, as well as in the application of computers in pediatrics and telemedicine. He is a former president of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics.
