Nuno Castel-Branco just completed his Ph.D. in the history of science at Johns Hopkins University where he taught several courses on the Galileo affair. He researches the career of Nicolaus Steno, an anatomist who worked for Grand Duke Ferdinand II de' Medici, Galileo's last patron. He will soon start a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin.
