Robert Kirshner, Ph.D. is chief program officer for science at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation after 31 years as an astronomy faculty member at Harvard University, where he is now the Clowes Research Professor of Science. A widely respected astrophysicist, Kirshner won the 2015 Wolf Prize for Physics for his role in uncovering the acceleration of cosmic expansion.
