Robert Langer is an American chemical engineer, scientist and entrepreneur who is widely recognized and cited for his biotechnology research, especially in the fields of drug delivery systems and tissue engineering where his work has improved the lives of millions of patients globally. He has received numerous professional accolades including the Millennium Technology Prize– the world's largest technology prize– and is the youngest person to ever be elected to all three American science academies. He currently serves as of the 10 Institute Professors at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
