Robert Simmon is a data visualization engineer at Planet Labs, and was previously the lead visualizer at NASA's Earth Observatory. He is an expert at creating clear and compelling imagery from satellite data, including the Earth at Night and the 2002 Blue Marble. His work has been featured in Physics Today, Fast Company, the Apple iPhone, and the cover of National Geographic.
