Roxanne Hughes is a faculty member at Florida State University and the director of the Center for Integrating Research and Learning at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. Her research and advocacy focus on programs and policies that improve the interest persistence in STEM in underrepresented populations--including women and girls. She is also the proud aunt of a niece and a nephew. The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, the world's largest and highest-powered magnet facility, is funded by the National Science Foundation (DMR-1644779) and the State of Florida.
