Scott Baker is Associate Director of the Marine Mammal Institute and professor of Fisheries and Wildlife, Oregon State University. His interest in the application of genomics methods for the detection and control of Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fisheries developed from his early work on molecular identification of 'whalemeat' sold in Japanese and Korean markets. Scott is a Pew Marine Conservation Fellow and has served as a scientific delegate to the Internaitonal Whaling Commission from more than 20 years.
