Tom Frieden, former director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is president of the global health organization Resolve to Save Lives. He is the author of The Formula for Better Health: How to Save Millions of Lives—Including Your Own. Proceeds from the book go to support programs that work for health around the world. Frieden holds M.D. and M.P.H. degrees from Columbia University.
